   I first used FIBRE OPTIC CABLE in 1990, to connect my CD Player to my DAC!

9. I was neighbors with the AT&T engineer that was in charge of a transpacific cable project before I was born. What was ironic about him is he never buried wires in his own yard to automate his sprinkler systems, so he paid me $3 a day to turn on his sprinklers while he was out of town. If he was still alive he would happy he did not waste his time and money on that project as we are not even allowed to water the yard.

14. That is the only thing I do not understand is how that cable is cheaper than wi-fi? How can that be with manufacturing costs, paying people to lay the cables, maintenance costs, etc.

I live in a large rural town in the UK and I am only able (without a private investment of £10,000) able to get 30mbps. If your going to try to make something relatively intangible relatable to the average joe, then actually have a clue what the average joe has to deal with.

30. One month ago, undersea Internet Cables in Indonesia had "problems" and coincidentally the only ISPs that were affected were government-owned ISPs.

    Due to poor service and network, plus this problem. There are more and more complaints until some are forcing this ISP to be closed because apart from cheating, such as cutting a competitor's cable, also trying to monopolize the area because of its "Government Owned" status.
